A woman from another country, married to a rich man. She is a mail-order bride. The have one sone together. She realizes she made a mistake,but cannot leave. Her son and she will need medical care, especially now that she just found out there is an unplanned pregnancy.
Undereducated, in the U.S. with a green card, her husband refuses to allow her to work. She stands in line at a women’s Planned Parenthood clinic one day while her husband is traveling. After a two-hour wait, the registration person tells her to show proof of residence, copy of paycheck, evidence of income, birth certificate and social security number; plus 12 pages of paperwork revealing work history for 15 years.
Discouraged, she decides to return to her husband and moves into the White House in Washington, D.C. to live happily ever after.
